I completely agree with the alcohol! It quietly creeps up on you, and I think even if you balance out the calories, something about the alcohol makes it harder to lose weight. Thanks for stopping by EA!

I'm really trying to step up my strength training routine to help give my metabolism a little boost. On a positive note, after enjoying a few more drinks than usual over the summer, I've cut back on my alcohol intake the past couple of months, and it really helps. I find now that I'm in my mid-30s and not exercising as much as I did in my 20s that my metabolism is definitely slower. Also doesn't help that I'm a high stress person and don't sleep as much as I should!
