Hi Mary, Thanks so much for checking out the recipe and for your suggestions about including a nutrition breakdown.
I did recently upgrade my recipe program to include nutrition facts (that recipe was published a few years ago, so it hasn't been updated) so look for that info on newer recipes. That compote recipe is more of a healthier dessert, and not an everyday food. It's also important to note that fruit is 100% carbs. However - 198 calories and 40 grams of carbs from fruit is much better for you than 198 calories and 40 grams of carbs from cookies or pie 🙂

But I put this recipe in my FitnessPal and it came up as 198 calories and 40 carbs per serving. Doesn't seem so healthy to me. As a dietitian it would be nice if you included the nutritional breakdown.

Pairs so well with the fruit compote!

Thanks Diane 🙂 I agree it would be delicious with breakfast foods. I also added it to my Greek yogurt - so multi purpose!

The fruit with raisin syrup would aIso make a great hot breakfast cereal or pancake topping. I am pinning and headed to the store to pick up some more balsamic vinegar. (BTW I love your adorable star and snowflake cookie cutters.)

Love the winter fruits you used 🙂
